UWS Reconciliation Day walking the talk

The University of Western Sydney's Reconciliation Day will be held on Monday 27 May 2002.

The theme of this year's Reconciliation Day is Walking the Talk, with the day's activities addressing what this means for the UWS community.

As part of the ceremony, UWS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Janice Reid, will welcome the University's new Manager of the Centre for Aboriginal Education, Mr Ken Jurotte.

She will also officially launch the UWS brochure on reconciliation - exploring the issues of self-determination, working together, valuing cultures, sharing history and addressing disadvantage.

An address by UWS Hawkesbury Student Association Vice-President, Mr Alan Holt, will discuss the Walking the Talk theme and what it means for UWS students.
