A watershed moment for graduating students

Date: 18/11/2009

From 19 to 29 November, 2009, the major works of music and art students from the University of Western Sydney will be on public display.

'Watershed' is the graduation exhibition for students completing their final year of study in the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Music programs at UWS.

The dynamic exhibition will be a feast for the senses, featuring visual artworks, sculptures, multimedia displays, and musical compositions.

David Cubby, senior lecturer from the UWS School of Communication Arts, says the exhibition will demonstrate the leading practice of Arts programs at UWS as well as the brilliance and diversity of UWS students.

"A 'watershed moment' is typically described as a critical time in a person's life, or a major turning point," says Mr Cubby.

"The Watershed exhibition is therefore a fitting opportunity for the artists to celebrate the conclusion of many years of hard work and dedication to university study, and the beginning of new and exciting careers in the creative industries."

The exhibition will be opened by Michael Dagostino, Studio Coordinator, Parramatta Artists Studios.
