January information session: last opportunity for advice on future

Date: 11/12/2002

Prospective students wanting advice on their study options for next year should come along to the University of Western Sydney's information session on Thursday 2 January 2003 at the Parramatta Campus.

Visitors can use this session to obtain course advice and career information before the Universities Admissions Centre change of preference deadline on Monday 4 January 2003.

According to UWS Marketing Manager, Mr Angelo Kourtis, the information session provides an excellent opportunity for prospective students to learn more about UWS and what it has to offer.

"Making that final decision about university study can be difficult, so it's important to get advice from as many sources as possible," says Mr Kourtis.

"The UWS January information session gives prospective students a chance to talk one-on-one with academic staff and receive specific advice on courses and career opportunities which best suit their needs and ambitions.

"Students and their parents also have the chance to learn more about the University."

Lecturers from all six campuses will be available at the Parramatta Campus to provide prospective students with advice on the wide range of courses offered by UWS.
